Join Kim as she guides students through a workshop where we slow down to dive deeper into the foundation of creative arm balance poses through the use of instruction, blocks, teacher demo, and personalized/peer support.
This workshop is for anyone looking to grow their practice. We will break down postures you may have seen in class and wanted to ask questions on how to get into that pose. We will come up with places to go and ways to play when teachers offer for you to “take it where you want” or freedom on your mat to play and practice.
This arm balance workshop will focus on the following poses:
Crow (with transition to tripod and one legged crow)
Side crow (with transition to EPK1 and fallen angel)
Flying pigeon and grasshopper
One legged insect (with transition to Eight angle or EPK2)
Firefly (with variations)
Peacock
